Ben Akin Knives was founded in 2014. Ben's passion for design and his ability to select the perfect materials drive the creation of each unique piece. Every knife is crafted to meet the highest standards of quality—if it doesn’t meet these criteria, it simply doesn’t make the cut.

​Ben's dedication to his craft has earned him awards at multiple knife shows. His expertise is further recognized by his status as a Journeyman Smith with the American Bladesmith Society and his role as a Voting Member of the Knife Makers Guild. These accolades reflect the respect he recieves within the knife-making community and his commitment to pushing the boundaries of his craft.

Cindy's journey into the world of leathercraft began in 2019 when she joined Ben's knife business as the "leather department." She quickly fell in love with the unique textures, rich smells, and incredible versatility that leather offers.

Initially, Cindy focused her skills on creating custom sheaths for Ben's knives and soon began building sheaths for other knife makers and collectors. Her attention to detail and dedication to quality quickly became evident through her work. Each sheath was meticulously designed to ensure both functionality and aesthetic appeal, providing each knife perfect protective covering.

As Cindy's expertise and confidence in leathercraft grew, so did her ambitions. She began to venture into creating a wider range of products, including bags, wallets, and portfolios. Her creations are not only practical but also showcase her flair for design and craftsmanship.
